  • postprocessing has a huge fps cost, turn it to low.
  • anti aliasing: if your computer is powerfull enough keep it on. Objects look smoother. Disable for performance. 
  • mesh quallity: only set to medium if your pc can't handle battlefield 4. ultra is the best setting if your pc can handle it. 
  • Turn vsync off. This reduces the input lag and will make the game run smoother. 
  • Disable the dof setting (depth of field). System lags will be reduced.

For this you first need to open notepad and create a user.cfg in your battlefield 4 main installation directory.
(In C: > Program Files (x86) > Origin Games > Battlefield 4).

Users can now configure and control themselves how many CPU cores should be used in the game with the new “Thread.MaxProcessorCount” settings in User.cfg.
“Render.DrawScreenInfo 1”now also shows information about which CPU and GPU is in the system, how many GPUs & CPU cores are used and which renderer (DirectX 11 or Mantle) is active. 

Unparking Your Cores

Unparking your cores gives you a huge fps boost and it is very easy to do. Go to this website, download the Unpark cpu app and follow the instructions.

There is no guarantee that your game will not crash but make sure Microsoft .Net Framework is up to date and make sure your graphics driver are up to date. If you still have windows 7 i suggest you upgrade to windows 8.1 which gives you a boost in performance and a more stable game.

Nvidia Control Panel Settings For Battlefield 4

In Nvidia Control Panel go to manage 3d settings and add the bf4.exe to program settings.
  • anisotropic filtering 16x
  • maximum pre-rendered frames 1
  • Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration Single display performance mode
  • Power management mode Prefer maximum performance
  • Threaded optimization On
  • vertical sync Off

Digital Vibrance For More Color

Digital Vibrance has been bundled into Nvidia drivers for a while now. What it does is it makes the picture colour richer, brighter and cleaner. keep it between 50-60%.
